Allen Manufacturing began in 1987 when we saw the need for the reduction of back, neck and shoulder injuries in the bindery of a large printing company. We wanted a way to raise or lower pallets with a self powered load leveling device rather than by the use of electrical or hydraulics.

This self leveling method would be logistically more feasible as it would not require a power source. Over the next three years we designed a spring powered device we call the Industrial Load Leveler. We were incorporated in 1990 and have since placed the Industrial Load Leveler with a large number of printers and newspapers.

The Industrial Load Leveler is the strongest, most maintenance free and ergonomically friendly load leveling device on the market. We have never had a customer that was not satisfied with the Load Leveler and the first units built are still in use.
